Handmade paper has been part of my life almost forever. I founded my first company, where I made paper by hand and promoted handicrafts, almost 30 years ago – says Flawiusz Pietrzyk, owner and founder of the ART-PAPIER paper mill.
As usual, the beginnings were not easy. There were no specialised schools to learn from, recipes could only be found in old publications, and true masters of the craft were becoming ever fewer. So I often learned by trial and error, adapting technical solutions from related industries. This gave rise to a unique paper mill with many solutions of our own. I discovered countless ways to develop. I could keep up with market needs and changing fashions – because handmade paper has endless possibilities.
Today I run a well-equipped paper mill that can produce 250,000 A4 sheets a year, and I can offer a wide range of products. Besides classic handmade papers in colours and with plant inclusions, I have introduced a new, eco-friendly line of handmade seed papers. We produce plantable papers with various seed types in formats up to 620×660 mm, so we can supply large print shops. Alongside the paper mill I also run our own print shop, delivering original, personalised promotional prints (tags, bookmarks, labels, folders), stationery and eco-friendly prints on seed paper for companies – quickly and comprehensively.
